滋賀県の高校サッカー優勝は初めてで、且つ近畿勢の優勝は32年ぶりだったらしい。
長らく高校サッカーは東高西低です。反対に高校ラグビーは明らかに西高東低の気圧配置です。
でも、関西で育った優秀な選手の多くは東京の大学へ採られるようで、大学ラグビーは関西元気ありません。
